Emily’s List executive disses Biden for saying he’d ‘pop’ a bully ‘in the mouth’

An executive for Emily’s List decried 2020 front-runner Joe Biden for arguing that he’d “pop” a bully in the mouth on Friday morning.

In an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo that aired earlier in the day, he compared President Trump to “the bully that used to make fun when I was a kid that I stutter, and I’d smack them in the mouth.”

Emily’s List vice president of communications Christina Reynolds responded to Biden’s remarks on Twitter, “Count me as a voter who would prefer someone who handles a menacing bully calmly while continuing to make her point over someone who announces he will pop him in the mouth.”

Biden’s apparent threat of violence against the president is not the first time. Last spring, the two argued about who would win in a physical altercation should one actually occur. The former vice president said he’d “beat the hell out of” Trump if they were in high school, while the president suggested that Biden “would go down fast and hard, crying all the way.”
