Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly wrote disparaging notes about President Trump, insulting his diplomacy with North Korea as “full of shit.”
During Trump’s 2018 summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, Pompeo disparaged Trump to Bolton, writing that there was “zero probability of success” that the president would be able to negotiate peace terms with the country, according to a report from the New York Times, which obtained a leaked copy of Bolton’s forthcoming book.
“He is so full of shit,” Pompeo said, according to Bolton.

The former national security adviser also writes in his book that intelligence briefings were a waste of time because “much of the time was spent listening to Trump, rather than Trump listening to the briefers.”
According to Bolton’s book, Trump also told him that his former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson once referred to Nikki Haley, Trump’s former United Nations ambassador, by a sexist obscenity, often pinning advisers against one another in meetings.
Bolton also reportedly asserts that Trump has an elementary understanding of geopolitics, writing that Trump asked if Finland was a part of Russia.
Trump didn’t seem to know that Britain was a nuclear power and asked if Finland were part of Russia, Bolton writes. Intelligence briefings were a waste of time “since much of the time was spent listening to Trump, rather than Trump listening to the briefers.”
