Rep. Thomas Massie posted a 2015 video of Washington, D.C., Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton parking poorly near the Capitol in an escalating Twitter feud between the two lawmakers.
The Kentucky Republican recently wrote on Twitter that his office “will not comply” with Washington, D.C.’s vaccine mandate to enter some public spaces, such as restaurants and entertainment venues.
Norton, who represents the district as a delegate in the House, as the city is not a state, responded she would provide sandwiches for Massie’s staff who are vaccinated but “afraid they’ll get fired if they order in.”

“If that description fits you and you’re hungry, [direct message] me and my staff will be in touch,” she wrote. “DC has your back.”
Massie taunted Norton in response, tweeting the resurrected video and asking her not to drive to get the sandwiches. She replied by offering Massie a sandwich as well.
“You’ll feel better after you eat. There’s even a word for feeling grumpy when you’re hungry: Hangry,” Norton wrote. “There, there. It’s going to be okay.”
Would you like a sandwich too, @RepThomasMassie?

Massie later took aim at Norton for her efforts to become the top Democrat on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee after Rep. Peter A. DeFazio of Oregon announced his retirement.
He tweeted the video a second time, writing that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “is seriously considering this person to serve as the chairwoman of the Transportation Committee.”

The video went viral in 2015 when Norton appeared to struggle to park near the House office buildings. She told FOX5 at the time she was running late for a television interview and that nearby construction prompted her to park in an unfamiliar place.

“Don’t worry! I have signed up for parking lessons, and I’m even thinking about upgrading to one of those self-parking cars,” Norton said.
Massie is among the Republican members who have been fined for failing to follow House rules requiring face masks on the House floor as a COVID-19 mitigation effort.
