Comedian Seth Rogen said Monday he knew about porn star Stormy Daniels’ affair with President Trump years ago from working with her on two different films.
Rogen said Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, had disclosed that she had recently slept with then-businessman Donald Trump.

“I’ve known Stormy Daniels a long time,” Rogen told daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. “And I’ll be honest, she may have mentioned some of this stuff around 10 years ago. At the time, when you ask a porn star who they’ve been sleeping with and the answer was Donald Trump, it was like the least surprising thing she could have said.”
The comedian said that as Trump’s political career evolved “it became clear that no one cared about anything he did,” so Rogen didn’t believe the affair would be a big deal if it did come out.
Daniels was in “Knocked Up” and “The 40 Year Old Virgin,” both comedy films that Rogen has starred in, where she played a stripper.
Rogen explained it was easier to hire a porn star to be a stripper in a film than a Hollywood actress.
“For Stormy, that was the easiest thing she did all week,” Rogen said. “If your goal is to be a more mainstream actress, it’s perhaps a step down. But for Stormy, it seemed lateral, at worst.”
Daniels has alleged that she engaged in an extramarital affair with Trump years before he became president. She is suing Trump to get out of a nondisclosure agreement that she insists is preventing her from talking about it.
