PLACERVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a small airplane crashed near a Northern California airport, killing one person and injuring another.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s office says the Starduster biplane was heading to the Swansboro Country Airport when it crashed Saturday evening.
A man aboard the airplane was pronounced dead at the scene. The other person was airlifted to a hospital, although his or her condition was not immediately known.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
