Former Vice President Joe Biden has kept quiet about whether he plans to run against President Trump in 2020, but he wasn’t shy about jumping into a different race on Monday.
Biden, a former Democratic senator from Delaware, was spotted jogging through the streets of Pittsburgh, Pa., as part of the city’s annual Labor day parade, which is one of the country’s largest street events on the holiday.

The 75-year-old, who was born in Scranton, Pa., was expected to be joined at the procession by Democratic lawmakers from Pennsylvania, including Sen. Bob Casey, Rep. Mike Doyle, and Rep. Conor Lamb. Biden has endorsed a number of Democratic candidates in advance of midterm Congressional elections in November.
Reporters joked that Biden was also “running” for something else, though Biden did not announce anything.

Biden would beat Trump in a hypothetical matchup in the 2020 presidential election, according to a poll released in August by Morning Consult-Politico. He had a 7-point advantage over the incumbent Republican among registered voters questioned from July 26-30, the survey concluded.
Forty-four percent of voters said they would pick former President Barack Obama’s right-hand man, compared with 37 percent who said they would go for Trump.
