Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley scolded President Trump for mocking a break-in at Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings’ Baltimore home.
“Really bad news!” Trump said Friday morning. “The Baltimore house of Elijah Cummings was robbed. Too bad!”
“This is so unnecessary,” Haley responded to Trump’s tweet, including an eye-roll emoji.

It was reported Thursday that the Maryland congressman’s home was broken into last weekend, shortly before Trump began attacking Cummings over the state of Baltimore. Cummings addressed the incident on Friday, saying he yelled to scare off the attempted intruder.
Haley resigned as Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations at the end of last year. She has been urged to challenge her former boss in 2020, but has dismissed speculation that she is open to the idea.
