Prince Harry and Meghan Markle boycott Trump’s visit to Buckingham Palace

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, are staying away from a Buckingham Palace reception to honor President Trump.

“The Duke and Duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will be taking some much-needed family time,” a source close to the family told People magazine.

Trump is in Europe for the annual NATO summit, during which he is meeting with various world leaders about military defense spending.

Markle and Harry have complained publicly in recent months about the intense scrutiny placed on their relationship and the royal family since their marriage.

Harry, 35, and Markle, 38, were married in May 2018.

Markle, an American, has been openly critical of Trump and his policies, leading Trump to slam her as “nasty.”

She was on maternity leave when Trump last visited the United Kingdom in June.
