Holocaust museum honors security guard

The U.S. Holocaust Museum on Thursday honored Stephen Tyrone Johns, one year after being shot to death by extremist James von Brunn.

In honor of the fallen security guard, the museum has established the Stephen Tyrone Johns Summer Youth Leadership Program Endowment Fund to educate young people in the D.C. area about lessons of the Holocaust.

Johns had served as a Special Police Officer at the museum for six years.
