WATCH: Viral TikTok shows young Australian girls going on ‘vax date’

A video on TikTok showing two young Australian women going on a romantic ‘vax date’ went viral on Monday.

The video was originally posted to the TikTok page YacVic, which says in its description, “We represent young people and youth workers and speak truth to power.”

The video starts with two young girls considering going on a date to see the new Spider-Man movie. One of the girls reaches over to the other, pulling up her mask higher above her nose as they discuss the idea.

As they enter the movie theater, an employee asks them for a “vaccination certificate,” to which one of the girls, wearing a black dress, says her parents won’t allow her to get the vaccine. The other girl, wearing overalls, explains to her that, since she is 14 years old, she doesn’t need parental permission and should get the vaccine against her parent’s wishes.

“Wanna go do it now, go on a vax date?” the girl in overalls asks.

“That sounds fun,” the girl in a dress answers.

The girls go to get vaccinated and then skip away happily as the video ends.

Libs of TikTok reposted the video, where it went viral and received scathing reactions from users.

“One of the cringiest things I’ve ever seen in my life,” one user commented.
