An alien-like creature is baffling residents after it washed up this weekend in a region of the world that has seen an uptick in the arrival of humanoid lifeforms in the last few months.
“Does anyone know what this is? Have seen a number of these washed up this week,” one local said after discovering a slug-like creature breathing on Cronulla Beach in Australia.
“They are everywhere … I was also wondering what they are,” another local said, according to a report.

The green spotted creature has a stark resemblance to an extraterrestrial, residents said.
However, the organism is a sea hare, a type of mollusk, said Harry Masefield, an aquarist at Sea Life Sydney Aquarium.
It is an invertebrate that feeds off of algae in the seagrass beds or rocky reefs, the report noted.
They have a toxin and could be harmful if eaten, Professor Culum Brown of Macquarie University said.
“People don’t munch on them but occasionally a dog might try should it find one washed up on the beach. If the individual hare has been eating particular types of algae it may cause harm to the dog,” he said.
While last weekend’s creature has seemingly been identified, other humanoid lifeforms continue to confuse locals and experts, the report noted.
In March, a local reported finding the remains of a creature with human-like hands, fur, and a reptilian skull and tail as he walked on Maroochydore Beach.

A month later, another local found a creature with human lips, which scientists believe to be a coffin ray, struggling on the beach on Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
