OXON HILL, Md. — White House counselor Kellyanne Conway suggested on Thursday that President Trump has impacted the conservative movement so significantly that it may be more apt to call the 44th annual Conservative Political Action Conference “TPAC.”
During remarks to CPAC attendees, Conway described the conservative movement as “sclerotic and dusty.” Trump, she said, has awakened grassroots activists who had lost hope after eight years under a Democratic administration.

“By tomorrow this will be TPAC,” she quipped.
Conway was the first of several senior administration officials who are slated to speak at the iconic gathering of conservatives, which helped launch Trump’s political career in 2011.
