President Obama said Monday he has no plans to let up on pursuing the policies and goals at the center of his administration in the waning days of his presidency.
“[We will] make sure we finish what we started, that we don’t let up in these last couple months because my goal is that on Jan. 20, America is in the strongest position possible,” the president told reporters at his first press conference since last week’s election.
Obama will depart Washington Monday evening for his final overseas trip while in office. He is slated to meet with foreign leaders in Greece, Germany and Peru.
