Democrat Doug Jones is naming all of the women who have accused Roy Moore of sexual misconduct in a new ad released Wednesday.
The ad, titled “Immoral,” opens with a narrator reading off the names of seven women who accused Moore of pursuing inappropriate relationships with them when they were teenagers and he was in his 30s. The names and photos of the accusers appear on screen.
“The list is growing,” the narrator says. “They were girls when Roy Moore immorally pursued them. Now they are women, witnesses to us all of his disturbing conduct. Will we make their abuser a U.S. senator?”
The ad closes with the narrator adding two more names to the list, bringing the total to nine.
Of the women who have come forward with allegations against Moore, one said he initiated sexual contact with her when she was 14 years old. Another woman said Moore sexually assaulted her when she was 16 and feared the conservative judge would rape her.
Republicans have called for Moore to withdraw from the Alabama Senate race in the wake of the allegations, but he has refused to do so.
Jones is facing Moore in the Dec. 12 special election for the Senate seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions this year.
