A Belgian fighter pilot hung suspended from a power line for roughly two hours after ejecting from his F-16 mid-flight.
Two pilots flying an F-16 took off from Florennes, in Belgium’s Namur province, on a practice flight to an airbase in France, according to BBC. Both pilots ejected after reporting having issues with the plane’s engine, leaving the plane to crash in northern France after clipping a man’s house.
Both pilots sustained minor injuries, and one’s parachute got tangled on a 250,000 volt-power line where he sat suspended until emergency crews could rescue him.

“They needed time to free him. They had to cut the electric current, but I’ve been on the phone to him and he says he feels fine,” said Gen. Maj. Frederik Vansina, commander of the Belgian air force.
The plane crashed in a field, but the wing of the jet skimmed the roof of a nearby house before going down, damaging the home.
