Ukrainian diplomat tells Elon Musk to ‘F*** off’ over peace deal proposal

Ukraine’s ambassador to Germany lashed out at Elon Musk over his proposed peace deal to end the War in Ukraine, telling the tech billionaire to “f*** off.”

Musk took to Twitter to suggest a peace plan to end the war in Ukraine that would include formalizing Russian control of Crimea. He later said that following Russia’s partial mobilization, the war would not favor Ukraine, so peace should be pursued rather than an “unlikely” victory. The proposal drew an explosion in criticism from pro-Ukrainian figures on Twitter, many of whom accused Musk of being a Kremlin apologist, including an expletive from Ukraine’s ambassador to Germany, Andrij Melnyk.

US IS OVERREACHING IN UKRAINE

“F*** off is my very diplomatic reply to you @elonmusk,” Melnyk tweeted, followed by, “The only outcome ist (sic) that now no Ukrainian will EVER buy your f…ing tesla crap. So good luck to you .@elonmusk.”

Musk’s proposal also drew the attention of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who ran a poll asking if Musk should support Russia or Ukraine.

“Ukraine-Russia Peace:

– Redo elections of annexed regions under UN supervision. Russia leaves if that is will of the people.

– Crimea formally part of Russia, as it has been since 1783 (until Khrushchev’s mistake).

– Water supply to Crimea assured.

– Ukraine remains neutral,” Musk proposed as a peace deal, with a poll gauging agreement with it, then added, “This is highly likely to be the outcome in the end — just a question of how many die before then.”

“Russia is doing partial mobilization. They go to full war mobilization if Crimea is at risk. Death on both sides will be devastating. Russia has >3 times population of Ukraine, so victory for Ukraine is unlikely in total war. If you care about the people of Ukraine, seek peace,” Musk elaborated after pushback.

The news of Musk’s proposal quickly spread to Russian social media, where it was met with amusement.

“Well done though, Musk. Worthy of conferring the rank of an extraordinary officer,” former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev joked on Telegram. “The next post will be something like ‘Ukraine is an artificial state.'”

Musk has actually played a decisive role in Ukraine’s defense. After Russia took out Ukraine’s main communications system early in the war, Ukraine was able to achieve superiority in communications systems using Musk’s Starlink, cybersecurity experts have said.
