North Korea brands Biden an ‘imbecile bereft of elementary quality as a human being’

North Korean state media launched an attack on 2020 presidential hopeful Joe Biden, mocking the former vice president as “a fool of low IQ.”

In comments published Tuesday, North Korea called Biden “reckless” and “senseless” in response to the Democratic candidate saying North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is a “tyrant” and “dictator” at his rally in Philadelphia on Saturday.

“What he uttered is just sophism of an imbecile bereft of elementary quality as a human being, let alone a politician,” Korean Central News Agency wrote.

“It is by no means accidental that there is nonstop comment over his bid for candidacy that he is not worth pinning hope on, backed by the jeer that he is a fool of low IQ,” it continued.

The piece highlighted several embarrassing moments for Biden, including his unwanted touching and several instances of plagiarism that derailed his 1988 presidential campaign.

North Korea has not responded well to criticism from American politicians in the past. In 2017, in response to President Trump calling Kim “Rocket Man,” the North Korean leader dubbed Trump a “dotard.”

The two leaders have since changed their tone, meeting twice in Singapore and Vietnam to discuss the hermit kingdom’s nuclear weapons program.
