The entire school board of the Oakley Union Elementary School District in the Bay Area resigned after members were caught purportedly mocking parents in a video.
The district confirmed on Friday that board members Kim Beede, Erica Ippolito, Richie Masadas, and Lisa Brizendine resigned.

“Please do not let our failure in judgment cast a shadow on the exceptional work that our teachers, administrators and hard-working employees are doing for the students of this District. They deserve and will need your support as you move forward,” Superintendent Greg Hetrick said in a statement.
The board members were caught on video talking about parents complaining about school closures, apparently without knowing that their microphones were on and the public was listening in.
