This weekend will be the first of six free opportunities in Rockville this spring and summer for pet owners to get their licensed dogs and cats vaccinated against rabies.
The services are free to licensed cats and dogs in Montgomery County, and there is a $4 charge for ferrets and out-of-county pets. The clinics will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 15, June 19, July 17, Aug. 21 and Sept. 18 at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Rockville.
Failure to vaccinate pets subjects pet owners to a $500 fine. Anyone with questions can call 240-773-5925.
