Photo shows Joe and Hunter Biden golfing with Ukraine gas company executive in 2014

A photo reportedly from August 2014 shows Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, golfing in the Hamptons with an executive of the Ukrainian gas company that the younger Biden served on the board of.

Fox News published the photo Monday that showed the Bidens golfing with Devon Archer, who also was on the board of Burisma Holdings.

The former vice president and 2020 Democratic presidential front-runner said last month that he had never discussed his son’s foreign business dealings with him. Hunter served on the board from April 2014 until before his father announced his presidential candidacy.

“I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Biden said. “I know Trump deserves to be investigated. He is violating every basic norm of a president. You should be asking him why is he on the phone with a foreign leader, trying to intimidate a foreign leader. You should be looking at Trump.”

But Hunter said in a separate interview that he and his father had spoken “just once” about his work in Ukraine.

President Trump has accused the Bidens of contributing to the corruption in Ukraine, arguing the then-vice president had a conflict of interest when he threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees during a 2016 trip to Kyiv if Ukraine didn’t fire its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin. There have been conflicting reports about whether Shokin was investigating Burisma Holdings at the time.

Trump has come under intense scrutiny for his July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in which he urged the Ukrainian leader to investigate the Bidens. A whistleblower complaint about Trump’s call and interactions with Ukraine prompted House Democrats to begin an impeachment inquiry last week.
