Watch: Helicopter plunges into Pearl Harbor

A helicopter with five people on board crashed into the waters of Honolulu’s Pearl Harbor on Thursday, seriously injuring one passenger.

A tourist caught the accident on video around 10:30 a.m. local time. The chopper made a slow dive for the water just feet from a Pearl Harbor memorial. Those visiting the park dove into the water and pulled the passengers to safety.

The helicopter was privately owned by the Genesis Company, which provides aerial tours of Hawaii.

Investigators have not released information about the reason for the crash. The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed only one person remains hospitalized.
