Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr, R-N.C., told Politico on Wednesday the committee has an agreement to receive memos written by former FBI Director James Comey.
The memos recount Comey’s interactions with President Trump, and House and Senate committees looking into Russian interference in the election have tried to obtain them.
“I’ve got a commitment,” Burr told Politico, although he would not say who had committed the memos.
Comey appeared before the Senate Intelligence Committee in early June to testify about his interactions with Trump and included a reported conversation where Trump told Comey to “let go” of his investigation into former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn. He also revealed that he had given some of the memos to his friend Daniel Richman to leak to the New York Times.
