President Trump on Tuesday dismissed the three CEOs who have resigned from his American Manufacturing Council and accused them of trying to win public praise by opposing his administration.
“For every CEO that drops out of the Manufacturing Council, I have many to take their place. Grandstanders should not have gone on. JOBS!” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.

Intel CEO Brian Krzanich, Merck CEO Kenneth C. Frazier, and Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank announced earlier this week they would step down from their roles on the White House council board.
“Politics and political agendas have sidelined the important mission of rebuilding America’s manufacturing base,” Krzanich wrote in a blog post Monday. “I resigned to call attention to the serious harm our divided political climate is causing to critical issues, including the serious need to address the decline of American manufacturing.”
Frazier blamed Trump’s delayed and unspecific condemnation of the white nationalist who drove a car into counter protesters in Charlottesville, Va., Saturday.
