Events mark Battle of Plattsburgh’s bicentennial

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (AP) — Two weeks of events will lead up to next month’s commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Plattsburgh during the War of 1812.

The festivities kick off Friday night with a showing of the silent film “Old Ironsides” at Plattsburgh’s Strand Theater.
