South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said Tuesday she will attend the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, next month, a staff member wrote in an email.
Haley had endorsed Florida Sen. Marco Rubio in February. Following Rubio’s departure from the GOP race, Haley threw her support behind Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. In the current one-man race, Haley has remained a critic of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.
Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., also announced shortly after Tuesday afternoon he plans to attend the convention.
The duo will act as honorary co-chairmen of the South Carolina Republican Party.
The governor spoke at the 2012 RNC convention, but is not scheduled to speak at this year’s event, July 18-21.
