What: Along with 18 Lansing school staffers, is visiting Beijing and Shanghai using $60,000 from a federal grant.
Why it’s an outrage: Wallace claimed they couldn’t use the money for anything but the Chinese language program. But the money could easily have been spent on take-home materials for students rather than an exotic faculty field trip.
