The latest season of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk premiered Wednesday, featuring its first episode since the viral Oscars slap.
During the show, alongside guest Janelle Monae, Pinkett Smith and daughter Willow Smith made very little mention of Will Smith slapping host Chris Rock. A title card at the beginning of the episode reiterated Jada’s previous call for healing.
“With all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focusing on deep healing,” it read. “Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at The Table when the time comes.”
WHAT IT MEANS FOR WILL SMITH TO LEAVE THE ACADEMY
Will Smith resigned from the academy following his confrontation with Rock. He further apologized to the comedian in an Instagram post. The academy, however, still opted to ban him from the awards ceremony for 10 years.

Despite the incident, the actor will get to keep the Oscar he won that night.
