Teen fatally stabbed in D.C.

District police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy.

Police on Monday identified the teen as Jamar Freeman. Police said he was stabbed at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday on the 900 block of Quincy Street NW.

Freeman, of Southeast D.C., was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made in the slaying. Police said a motive in the case is still under investigation.

The stabbing happened about a block from the Georgia Avenue-Petworth Metro station.
