Ben Rhodes, a former foreign policy adviser to President Barack Obama, hopes North Korean leader Kim Jong Un stays mum about Hillary Clinton winning the popular vote in the 2016 presidential election.
Such a mention, Rhodes implied, could spell destruction in the war of words between Kim and President Trump.
“God save us if Kim Jong Un makes a comment about Hillary’s popular vote victory,” Rhodes responded to Trump’s tweet early Friday morning, in which the president warned the North Korean leader “will be tested like never before.”

Kim threatened late Thursday to make Trump “pay dearly” for his speech at the United Nations General Assembly.
Trump had warned the U.S. would “totally destroy” North Korea if it continued to threaten America and its allies.
“I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged U.S. dotard with fire,” Kim responded Thursday.
Clinton won the popular vote by about 3 million ballots. Trump won the Electoral College vote against the former secretary of state.
