Sean Spicer: Trump had a ‘hugely successful’ first 100 days

White House spokesman Sean Spicer said Monday that Trump has had a very successful first 100 days in office, even though he hasn’t yet signed a bill to repeal Obamacare, and as a result hasn’t been able to start work on tax reform yet.

“When you think about what he’s started… he’ll move forward on tax reform, healthcare, on immigration, on trade, it’s been a hugely successful first 100 days,” Spicer said at the White House.

Spicer said Trump’s work in other areas has made up for the inability of Congress to pass bills related to healthcare and tax reform.

“I think when you look at the totality of what we’ve accomplished, on job creation, on immigration, on trade, it is unbelievable what he has been able to do,” he said.

“You can cherry pick any couple of things, and say OK, well what about this or that,” he said. “But I think when you look at it overall, in terms of the drop in border crossings, if you look at consumer confidence, and the relationships that we’ve developed around the globe, and the accomplishments this president has had on protecting the country and bringing back jobs… those have been unbelievably significant.”
