Donald Trump said on Monday he took a physical exam a few days ago and will “probably” release the results of it this week.
Trump told CNBC he decided to have the exam after he “saw what was going on with [Hillary Clinton].”
“I actually took a physical last week and we’ll probably, I guess this week we announce the results of it,” Trump told CNBC. “I’ll be announcing, sometime during the week I’ll be handing out a paper with very large numbers of detailed, hopefully good, statistics.”
He added, “I feel very confident otherwise I probably wouldn’t be telling you I did this, right?”
Trump’s decision to release additional details about his physical fitness come after Clinton stumbled on her way out of a 9/11 memorial ceremony that she chose to leave early. After video emerged of Clinton struggling to enter her van, the Democratic nominee’s campaign claimed she has pneumonia.
While Clinton canceled her west coast swing following the health scare, Trump will stump in Maryland and North Carolina on Monday.
