President Trump predicted Wednesday that the congressional candidates he campaigns for and endorses will keeping winning, most of the time.
“As long as I campaign and/or support Senate and House candidates (within reason), they will win! I LOVE the people, & they certainly seem to like the job I’m doing,” Trump tweeted. “If I find the time, in between China, Iran, the Economy and much more, which I must, we will have a giant Red Wave!”

He also took another jab at the “fake news” that he said falsely claims that Democrats are the clear favorites to win.
“The Republicans have now won 8 out of 9 House Seats, yet if you listen to the Fake News Media you would think we are being clobbered,” Trump posted to Twitter Tuesday. “Why can’t they play it straight, so unfair to the Republican Party and in particular, your favorite President!”

Trump campaigned for Republican House candidate Troy Balderson on Saturday in Ohio ahead of Tuesday’s special election, and credited his turnaround to the rally he held for the newcomer.
When the voting booths closed Tuesday night, the race was too close to call, with Balderson ahead by less than 2,000 votes. The need to count provisional ballots is what prevented the close race from being called, and a formal decision is expected late next week.

Trump noted in a Tuesday night tweet that before his campaign rally for Balderson, he was behind in early voting 64 to 36. “After my speech on Saturday night, there was a big turn for the better,” he tweeted. “Now Troy wins a great victory during a very tough time of the year for voting. He will win BIG in Nov.”
But despite Trump’s prediction and his confidence that he can help Republicans hold onto Congress, Democrats have been saying Trump has given them an opening. The close race in Ohio, a district that should be reliably Republican, has led some to predict that Democrats will do well in the November mid-term election.
Tuesday morning on CNN, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez said he’s optimistic that Democrats will win plenty of seats that are even more competitive than Ohio’s 12 district.
“This gives me optimism, not only about this seat but about other House seats, the U.S. Senate, and governors races,” Perez said.
