Tip leads to arrest in October beating, robbery in Manassas

A man has been arrested in connection with an October beating and robbery in Manassas.

Manassas police said a man was walking near Byrd Drive and Taney Road shortly before midnight on Oct. 26 when a man and a woman approached him and punched him in the face and head multiple times.

The man fell to the ground; the two suspects took his wallet and continued to assault him while he was on the ground, police said. The man received treatment at a hospital.

The female suspect, Natae Carter, was arrested Dec. 14, but the male suspect remained at large. 

On Tuesday, 29-year-old Deshoun Wallace was arrested and charged with armed robbery and aggravated malicious wounding. Wallace was apprehended in Fairfax County due to a Crime Solvers tip, police said.
