Dolphin fans have until Nov. 20 to vote on one of five names with regional connections for a 3-month-old female calf at the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
One-third of dolphin calves don’t survive their first year, but Animal Programs Director Sue Hunter said this calf has reached several milestones including playing with the trainers.
People can vote on the aquarium’s Web site or by sending a text message to 88509 with the letter “A” for Bayley, “B” for Calli, “C” for Charm, “D” for Hanna or “E” for Sassafras.
The winning name will be announced Nov. 22. – AP
