Rep. Mia Love, R-Utah, lost her re-election bid against Democratic opponent Ben McAdams by 694 votes.
Two lingering counties, Salt Lake and Utah counties, wrapped up ballot-counting two weeks after Election Day on Tuesday.
McAdams ended up with 134,964 votes to Love’s 134,270. His 50.13 percent to 49.87 percent advantage was .01 percent outside of the 0.25 percent margin in which Love could request a recount.

Emboldened after taking the lead Monday evening, McAdams already had declared victory.
“What we are hearing from election officials is there just not enough votes outstanding to make a difference either way,” he said at a press conference, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. “I am eager to get to work to represent Utah’s 4th District.”
The county totals will be certified by the state on Monday.
Love, who was the first black Republican woman elected to the House in 2014, had been trailing in the race until the weekend when she overtook McAdams.
Last week, President Trump took a swipe at Love while she was behind, claiming that she lost because she showed him “no love.”
Democrats appear to have snagged a net gain of 39 seats in the lower chamber so far, with Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., appearing to have lost her race.
That number could grow to 40 if incumbent Republican Rep. David Valadao in California loses his tight race against Democrat TJ Cox.
