Feds sought cooperation from Paul Manafort’s son-in-law: Report

Federal investigators have pressed Paul Manafort’s son-in-law to cooperate with investigations involving President Trump’s former campaign chairman, according to a report Wednesday.

Investigators approached Jeffrey Yohai, Manafort’s son-in-law, earlier this summer, Politico reported.

Manafort is a focus of federal and congressional investigations into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election and whether the Trump campaign conspired with Moscow.

Manafort is also under investigation for his business and real estate deals, including some that involve Yohai.

On Wednesday, news outlets reported that the FBI raided the Alexandria, Va., home of Manafort last month, executing a search warrant to seek tax documents and foreign banking records.

It is unclear whether investigators have secured cooperation from Yohai, who, like Manafort, has not been accused of wrongdoing.
