Rush: Marco Rubio Is a ‘Legitimate, Full-Throated Conservative’

Rush Limbaugh said on his show Tuesday that Sen. Marco Rubio is a genuine member of the conservative movement, and that he doesn’t care for him being labeled an establishment candidate. (Fellow radio host Michael Savage isn’t going to like this.)

“I don’t see Marco Rubio as anything other than a legitimate, full-throated conservative,” Limbaugh said.

Here’s a partial transcript of the remarks, with video below:

I don’t like this idea that Marco Rubio is all the sudden being labeled as an establishment candidate. I know Rubio’s got the baggage of that Gang of Eight bill, and I know that in many people’s minds he’s got the baggage of wanting to grant the current number of illegals citizenship. I understand that. But Marco Rubio is no moderate Republican centrist. I could sit here like anyone else could for why he did the Gang of Eight, but I’m not even going to try to put words into his mouth. I don’t want to be seen as making excuses. I don’t see Marco Rubio as anything other than a legitimate, full-throated conservative. Nobody’s pure, and nobody is ever free of making mistakes.
