GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence on Tuesday sought to talk an Iowa woman out of revolting against the federal government if Clinton wins.
The woman, a self-described Donald Trump supporter who expressed concern about voter fraud, told Pence she was prepared to be part of an uprising if Trump loses.
“I don’t want this to happen, but I will tell you for me personally, if Hillary Clinton gets in, I myself I’m ready for a revolution because we can’t have her in,” the woman said.
“Don’t say that,” Pence responded.
“But I’m just saying it,” the woman said. “No, you know, I’m like Trump.” The woman then urged the crowd to cheer for her proposed uprising against the United States government before Pence spoke up again.
“There’s a revolution coming on November the 8th, I promise you,” Pence said, referencing Election Day.
He continued to explain that those concerned with the integrity of the vote should become involved in the electoral process as a poll watcher or a volunteer at a polling place. It remains unclear whether Pence persuaded the woman out of her proposed insurrection upon a Clinton victory.
