Protesters turned sour as they pelted tomatoes at French President Emmanuel Macron during his first public outing since Sunday’s election victory.
Macron was greeting a small crowd at a market in Cergy, a northwestern suburb of Paris, when a passerby chucked several tomatoes in his direction, none of which landed on the president.
