Trump re-election campaign runs 40 percent off sale on merch for Fourth of July

President Trump’s re-election campaign offered customers 40 percent Independence Day discounts at its online retail store on Wednesday.

“Let Freedom Ring … 40% OFF THE ENTIRE OFFICIAL TRUMP STORE,” a Wednesday morning email to supporters reads.

The promotion code to unlock the discount? “Freedom.”

The retail site is owned by the Trump Make America Great Again Committee, a joint fundraising committee for Trump and the Republican National Committee.

Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, told the Washington Examiner last week that the president does not approve sales or products before they are announced because he trusts the campaign’s management.

The site includes T-shirts, hats, flags, pet gear, signs, and even women’s one-piece swimsuits.

The last holiday sale was for 25 percent off on Memorial Day.

It’s not clear how much the joint fundraising committee makes off online sales.
