DSU holds groundbreaking for new optics lab

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Delaware State University is breaking ground on a new optics research facility.

Gov. Jack Markell and other elected officials were scheduled to be on hand for Tuesday’s ceremony celebrating the latest development for DSU’s optics program.

The National Science Foundation’s Center for Research Excellence in Science and Technology awarded Delaware State a five-year, $5 million grant to support the program and state of Delaware allocated $10 million for construction of the new building.
