CLINTON, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi College’s music and art departments are joining for a recital Tuesday at the college’s jean Pittman Williams Recital Hall.

The 7:30 p.m. presentation is free and open to the public.

Called “MC Creates,” the program is based on Wilhelm Muller’s 1820s poetic collection “The Fair Miller-Maid.”

Student and faculty composers wrote music inspired by the poems. Graphic design students will interpret the poems in images viewed during musical performances by student pianists.

More information is available by contacting Dottie Serio in the college’s music department at 601-925-3440.
