Rap legend Snoop Dogg voiced his support for Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan after Facebook announced he, and several other controversial high profile figures, would be banned from their platforms, including Instagram.
Other people that were banned from the platforms include: Alex Jones, Milo Yiannopoulos, Laura Loomer, Paul Nehlen, and Paul Joseph Watson.
“We’ve always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology,” a Facebook spokesman said in a statement. “The process for evaluating potential violators is extensive and it is what led us to our decision to remove these accounts today.”
“So Facebook and Instagram just banned Minster Louis Farrakhan. I wanna know for what,” Snoop Dogg said in an Instagram story. “All he ever do was tell the truth, but y’all going to ban him though.”
The rapper said in response, he and his followers would “ban” the social media giant.
“What if we stop f–king with y’all, Facebook and Instagram? How the f–k y’all going to ban Louis Farrakhan for putting truth out there,” he said. “I stand with him. I’m with him. Ban me, motherf–ker.”
Snoop Dogg said he’ll continue putting Farrakhan’s content on his page, “F–k y’all that got a problem with him.” He then encouraged all of his followers to post their favorite video from Farrakhan on their Instagram and Facebook accounts.
