Trump made emergency landing after Louisiana speech: Report

The former president’s plane made an emergency landing in Louisiana on Saturday due to an engine failure. The technical failures occurred after Trump spoke before a Republican National Committee donor event.

The flight was in the air for 20-30 minutes before one of the engines failed and the pilot returned to New Orleans, two sources told Politico. The plane was traveling from Louisiana to Palm Beach, where Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate is located.

The sudden landing was described as an “emergency,” according to an audio recording on which one source was briefed.

Representatives from the RNC assisted in helping Trump find a replacement aircraft, the sources reported. He arrived in Palm Beach at approximately 3 a.m. Sunday morning.
