President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed rising tensions with North Korea during a phone call late Tuesday, their first since participating in a bilateral summit last week.
“It was a very productive call,” the White House said in a statement, echoing a tweet posted by Trump earlier Wednesday.
“Had a very good call last night with the President of China concerning the menace of North Korea,” Trump had tweeted.
