NBA star LeBron James tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss Tuesday’s game while he enters the league’s coronavirus protocols.
James, who is fully vaccinated, tested positive in a rapid test, according to TMZ. A follow-up PCR test came back negative, but a third test also had a positive result.
The 36-year-old is said to be asymptomatic.
KING JAMES WON’T DECREE THAT PEOPLE SHOULD GET VACCINATED
The positive results came hours before the Los Angeles Lakers were set to face the Sacramento Kings. The team sent James back to Los Angeles on a private flight, the report said. He will have to quarantine away from the team for 10 days or until he can submit two negative COVID-19 tests.

James said in the fall that he was vaccinated but opined that other players should decide on inoculations for themselves.
“We’re talking about individuals’ bodies,” he told reporters. “We’re not talking about something that’s political or racism or police brutality, things of that nature. We’re talking about people’s bodies and well-being. So I don’t feel like, for me personally, that I should get involved in what other people should do for their bodies and their livelihoods.”
