The White House went into lockdown, reportedly because of party balloons.
On Sunday afternoon, the White House took the precaution for unspecified reasons that NBC later reported to be “party balloons” floating over the grounds.

“All clear at White House after several ‘party balloons’ drift over White House grounds,” NBC reported just ten minutes after first noting the lockdown.
President Obama was not in the White House at the time, as he’s traveling in Vietnam and Japan. But the quick decision to tighten things up was made two days after a shooting outside the White House spawned a lockdown. The most recent fence jumping at the White House was just six weeks ago.
It is unclear what threat the White House thought the balloons posed.
