Hillary Clinton can’t get any love from MSNBC.
The former secretary of state has caught flack for her treatment of the press, her private email server scandal has earned her sharp criticism, and now she’s catching grief for being plain, old boring.
“The emails are actually just a symptom of the problem of Hillary,” MSNBC contributor and “Morning Joe” regular Donny Deutsch said Friday. “Americans are just tired of Hillary Clinton. There comes a point in time where she comes on the TV — Hillary Clinton is very competent and very bright, just Americans have fallen out of like with her. It’s that simple.”
Former president Bill Clinton was first elected to the Oval Office in 1992, and Hillary Clinton has been in the public eye ever since.
As first lady, a U.S. senator, a Democratic presidential candidate, secretary of state and as a presidential candidate again, she is everywhere.
Host Joe Scarborough asked, “Are you tired of her?”
“Yes,” said Deutsch, a self-professed liberal. “I think Hillary at this point, regardless of her skill set, would not be an effective leader because her fault or not, the country is polarized. She cannot lead effectively, because she’ll not be able to bring this country together.”
He said his general sense of “Hillary fatigue” comes from his many conversations with Democrats in New York City.
Scarborough offered some perspective, “That’s Democrats. That’s not Republicans. These are around the dinner table, around the lunch table, powerful Democrats saying ‘We just can’t do this.'”
