The Maryland State Lottery Commission is planning to review temporary slots proposals at the Arundel Mills mall in Anne Arundel County after legal proceedings and a ballot vote have delayed a parlor from opening there for more than a year.
“We are trying to move forward as quickly as possible,” said commission Chairman Donald Fry at a meeting in Annapolis. “Hopefully we’re at a point where we there are no further delays.”
He said “one legal matter is still pending” but that he is confident it won’t stand in their way. He closed the rest of the meeting to the press to discuss the litigation.
Fry said commission will review temporary slots proposals for Anne Arundel on Dec. 13.
