Conservative political commentator Eric Bolling walked off a BBC broadcast after another guest accused him of lying about caring for the black community during a segment discussing Georgia’s new voting law.
“That’s disgusting,” Bolling said during the BBC show Newsnight on Wednesday. “I’m done. Put me off. That’s disgusting. I am nowhere near anything you are painting me to be, and the problem with American politics is exactly that. Because I’m white, you think I’m racist? That’s BS. I’m done.”
The scene came after fellow guest Aisha Mills accused Bolling and other white Republicans of only pretending to care about black people to make a political point after Bolling said the MLB’s decision to move its All-Star Game to Denver hurt minority communities in Atlanta.
“I think it’s really rich for any Republican, especially a white man, to run around and claim that they care about the economic condition of black communities and black businesses when that’s all a lie,” Mills, a political commentator, said before Bolling left the broadcast.

“How dare you try to act like you are somehow a proponent of black people in businesses, just to make a point and to try to create a wedge? It’s ignorant and disrespectful,” she said.
Bolling got up to leave but said he would stay if he received an apology.
“I’m not going to apologize for being offended,” Mills replied.
“I’m done,” Bolling then said, and he left the interview.
Mills later took to Twitter to sound off on the exchange and accused Bolling of having a “history of lobbing racial stereotypes to boost ratings.”
“Tonight in white conservative fragility: @ericbolling storms off set when I challenge him on race. He pulled that all too familiar act of feigning outrage to distract from his hypocrisy. This from the guy who built his brand on race-baiting,” she tweeted, accompanied by “receipts” of him using “racial stereotypes.”

Bolling retweeted messages supporting the comments he made on the show, including from fellow former Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

The scene comes after corporations and Democrats have formed a chorus denouncing Georgia’s new election integrity law, claiming that it hurts minority communities.
“It is reassuring to see that for-profit operations and businesses are speaking up about how these new Jim Crow laws are just antithetical to who we are,” President Joe Biden told reporters on Tuesday.
“The other side to it, too, is when they do, in fact, move out of Georgia, the people making hourly wages sometimes get hurt the most,” he said. “But I respect when they make that judgment.”

Former President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has called on Republicans to boycott corporations that slammed the law in recent days.
“For years the Radical Left Democrats have played dirty by boycotting products when anything from that company is done or stated in any way that offends them,” he wrote in a statement on Saturday. “Now they are going big time with WOKE CANCEL CULTURE and our sacred elections. It is finally time for Republicans and Conservatives to fight back — we have more people than they do — by far! Boycott Major League Baseball, Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, JPMorgan Chase, ViacomCBS, Citigroup, Cisco, UPS, and Merck. Don’t go back to their products until they relent.”
